Emmys Predictions via Feinberg Forecast: One Last Update Before Voting Closes
THR's executive editor of awards coverage reassesses dozens of categories ahead of the close of voting at 10 p.m. PT on Monday.
The 11 days allocated for the final round of Emmys voting will come to an end at 10 p.m. PT on Monday.
My sense from talking to a wide cross-section of voters (including one whose picks will be posted on Friday as this year’s “Brutally Honest Emmys Ballot”) is that all three of the top program categories remain somewhat up for grabs, with two or three contenders splitting the lion’s share of support in each: FX’s Shogun and Netflix’s The Crown for best drama series; FX’s The Bear and HBO/Max’s Hacks for best comedy series; and Netflix’s Baby Reindeer and Ripley and HBO/Max’s True Detective: Night Country for best limited/anthology series.
Meanwhile, Netflix appears to be pulling away in many of the variety and nonfiction categories; among them, best pre-recorded variety special (Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer), best live variety special (G.R.O.A.T. The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady), best documentary/nonfiction series (Beckham), best documentary/nonfiction special (The Greatest Night in Pop) and hosted nonfiction series/special (My Next Guest With David Letterman and John Mulaney).

Please note: Think of Scott like a meteorologist — his aim with the forecast is to correctly predict what will happen, not to advocate for what he thinks should happen. His picks are arrived at by sampling contenders, consulting voters, analyzing campaigns and studying the results of past Emmy seasons.
