It’s bordering on xenophobia to assume “their” nickel is dirty and “our” nickel is clean.
What could well be a lifesaver for Australian nickel producers is the Government’s suggestion of tax credits to fund the improvement of production facilities. That makes sense, it would give an opportunity for Australian firms to bring their standards up to, or to better than, those of many Indonesia nickel producers.
